2025 Lineup

The Ain’t Sisters – Our new friends from Atlanta will bring their energetic brand of fun and wildly diverse folk rock originals to the Bowl. “This one dude says we’re kinda like lesbian ween and we think that’s pretty neat.”

Lee Ross – Live-looping hero Lee Ross uses keyboards and organ to spread out a rhythm section and accompaniments and then layers in some high-energy saxophone and flute, topped off with a sprinkle of vocals and smiles. Mmmm, tasty! Our new friend Lee is a “One man party band. Doing [his] best to make you smile and dance.”

Weird Phishes – We fell in love with these guys at the Stone Church in Brattleboro. Yes. Weird Phishes is exactly what it sounds like – the iconic melancholy rock songs of Radiohead completely reborn as danceable, crunchy jams. With full-album performances, unexpected mashups, and gluey funk-driven improvisation, their jam-heavy take on alt-rock classics has sparked an unexpected energy in audiences across the northeast. Cleverly avoiding the “tribute” trope, Weird Phishes continues to push the envelope of what a mashup band can be, delivering performances that need to be experienced to believe.

Matt Kampe and The Hub – Multi-instrumentalist Matt Kampe from Jelly the Band, who played Scarboro last year, has a new project. The Hub will get us moving with their infectious funk/rock fusion original grooves.

Shantyman – Shantyman is a funk, soul and rock & roll band that regularly gigs around the Valley. With multiple intersections to our network, we are psyched to finally bring these guys to the Scarboro Bowl.

Catrick – A post-alt rock band from within our Western Mass network that makes edgy, funky sounds for cats (and humans, too).

Giant’s Harp – A spinoff of Mind Left Body, Giant’s Harp invites you to join their avant-garde rock collective focused on collective moment immersion. “Transcend through sound. You have visited the Giant’s Harp before, like those that have come before you. Partner yourself with the moment. It’s our goal to be there as it happens.”

Astral Jade – We’re thrilled that our universe includes Astral Jade, an independent songwriter and producer from Oregon. She fuses electronic elements with raw instrumental tracks to create psychedelic soundscapes to bring listeners to an ethereal state of consciousness.

The Tripps – We met these cool young cats busking outside The Drake in Amherst before the Club d’Elf show last year. I was instantly a fan of their groovy magical psychedelic sounds. I think you’ll love them too.

DJ Michael Marantz – Trust us. Our multi-talented friend Michael always brings it. Getdown guaranteed.

Tank Hood – Our friend and neighbor Tank plays acoustic originals & American roots music.

Open Mic – Yeah! That’s you!

What is the Scarboro Bowl?
The Scarboro Bowl is an invitation-only community music and arts microfestival located just south of Amherst Center in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts. The address will be provided to our guests ahead of the event. This is not a public event. If you are seeing this page it is because you were invited by the hosts or a friend of theirs. If you’re not sure whether it’s cool to attend, please contact the hosts.
The Scarboro Bowl is our home. It’s a place that’s been calling me to make community music and arts events here ever since I first laid eyes on it 20 years ago. For nine years now we’ve been gathering once or twice each summer in the forest by the Scarboro Brook to celebrate general existence with that ever dependable catalyst for collective effervescence and joy: live music.
This community microfestival (with the emPHAsis on COMMUNITY) is something we keep on doing because–even on a micro scale–growing human connection through the collective joy of live music, art, nature, and shared interests is freaking IMPORTANT. Always has been and is now more than ever, right?!! In fact, COMMUNITY JOY IS AN ACT OF RESISTANCE.
For us, this is a labor of joy. It is an invitation to you, to tend your joy with music, dancing, art, nature and human connection. It is for all of us, of all ages. So, get ready to move your body to the music, explore the woods, climb to the treehouse, bounce your children on the trampoline, splash in the brook, make music, make your art in the forest, make memories, make friends. We can’t wait to see you soon!
Meanwhile, check out the Scarboro Bowl photo gallery to see images of all the fun we had last year.
